It all started in 1966 on March 16th when brothers Paul and Jim Van Doren, along with their partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia, opened up their business at 704 E. Broadway in Anaheim, Calif. – the House of Vans! Early 70s Skateboarders were the first to be seen sporting the brand’s signature rugged make-up and sticky sole, and the iconic style was even showcased on the windows of the Anaheim location.
